Step into the world of an authentic nineteenth-century Turkish coffee-house where you can enjoy lunch and dinner prepared from genuine Ottoman recipes, sip steaming hot cardamom-scented Turkish coffee, drink a glass of traditional black tea, and even try a narghileh or water pipe.
The Flying Carpet Turkish Café occupies a 1909 all-wooden bungalow constructed of two-hundred year old longleaf pine. It is located on the edge of the historic Fairmount neighborhood just off Fort Worth's popular West Magnolia Avenue. The original ambience of the house has been preserved and enhanced by its owner, Brent Hyder. His Ottoman Empire antiques and carpets take you back in time to an old-world café in Turkey while Chef Cebrail Demirtaš takes pride in serving classic recipes from his homeland of Malatya, Turkey.
